Let me introduce myself and my family. I'm Tracey, a mother and designer who has spent many busy years raising our 5 children and building a career in residential design here in London. My husband Brian is a local business owner who shares my love of furry companions. Watching our children go from curious little ones to successful young adults has filled me with pride and joy. As our home slowly transitioned from the active lifestyle of children to the quiet peacefulness of empty nesters, I've grown to appreciate my time with the animals around me even more.
I've spent my life surrounded by amazing animals; dogs, horses, cats, cows, pigs, rabbits, birds, fish, snakes and hamsters just to name a few. My parents had a hard time keeping me out of the barns when I was little, I couldn't resist an opportunity to meet and spend time with any animal. I owned and cared for my own horse for 15 years until he passed, a dream come true for this equine lover. My horse was raised alongside my own children who spent their childhood frequenting the barn and riding with me, one of the best gifts I could give them. When Brian and I lost our 2 collies 4 years ago, we wanted to fill the emptiness in our hearts with a new fulfilling challenge, so we soon found ourselves bringing two German Shepherds home: Bruce and Larry. We thoroughly enjoy our boys and spend countless hours training, exercising, and stimulating both to raise them into fine-mannered confident pups. My appreciation and love for these beautiful spirits have grown my connection to them throughout my life.
I have worked with dog and horse trainers and attended training classes to learn how to manage behaviours and help my friends be the best social beings they can be. I do not consider myself an expert as I have never worked professionally with animals. However, I have an abundance of experience and countless hours of time spent with many different species and personality types. I've called my business "My Other Mama" because I am a mother and care for everything with the deep compassion that comes from a mother's love. I'm excited to begin my journey to retirement by spending my time with the people and animals that bring me the most joy in life. I would be so grateful to be a part of your best friend's life too.
